Hello, I’m Cheri!
I’m the Owner & Author here at The Cozy Everyday Life which is the place for finding joy, peace, and simplicity in the busyness of our lives. I’m so glad you’re here!
I’ve spent many years observing, learning, and implementing easy ways to appreciate all that I have at this moment in time and I want to share that knowledge and encouragement with you!

I grew up in a small town smack dab in the middle of the Mitten State (Michigan, for my international friends). Growing up, I knew country living was not for me; however, I always wanted to take that cozy and quiet feeling wherever I went. I took it to college, then to Austin, Texas, and back to Michigan again.
Fast forward many years and I am in the suburbs, still in my beloved Michigan, and I truly love being close to everything but still tucked away from too much noise and activity. It’s the best of both worlds for me.
Along with my blogging business, I work full-time in the health insurance industry. It is critical, between family, full time work, my love of learning new things, and my joy in helping others here that I take time and make space for cozy and live as simply as possible. I am a true introvert and having calm and quiet is essential to my well-being.
I have been married to my hubby for 25 years, and we have 3 kids who have grown up much too fast! My oldest daughter (24) is a 6th grade English teacher, my son (20) works in Auto Body, and my youngest daughter (16) is a sophomore in high school.
In the winter you will catch me reading quite a bit and trying to figure out how to crochet something other than washcloths. The rest of the year I am attempting to add more beautiful landscape around our 1978 1200 square foot ranch house, while the hubs is inevitably fixing or renovating something!
All along the way, I declutter what holds me back (physically and mentally) in order to add cozy and calm to my space whenever and wherever I can. Thanks for joining me on this ride. My hope is that you always leave here with your day a bit brighter and that you teach me some new things along the way too!
Always feel free to reach out!
